Press down firmly on the lid, re-lock (press and hold the middle button for 5 seconds), and then enter the override code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right (Standard Mode only).

If the box does not lock, try resetting the device by removing the batteries for 30 seconds and then reinstalling them.
